The Role of a Real Estate Agent

When it comes to being a real estate agent there is a lot of time and energy that goes into being successful. The role of an agent is to serve others. Sometimes when people call looking for an agent, it can be under stressful circumstances such as a death in the family, job promotion or divorce. It is important for an agent to understand and relate to their clients and how they can best serve them.

Communication is key. You need to be able to build trust with your clients, know your product and your strategy. When it comes to being a great agent, you need to be responsive and available 7 days a week. Agents often work nights and weekends showing homes, setting up open houses, and marketing properties.

An agent’s job is to know the markets they work in and be able to answer all the client’s questions and concerns about school districts, zoning, expansion and so much more.

Although the role of agent can be demanding, there is a lot of reward to helping someone sell or find the perfect home for them.

Share your thoughts. What do you look for in an agent? How did having an agent benefit you?
